Let's Connect!

What I've learned throughout my parenting journey...

Healing generational trauma is a crucial step in breaking the cycle of dysfunction and creating a healthier, more positive environment for our children. As parents, it is our responsibility to address our own emotional wounds and work towards healing them so that we can show up as the best version of ourselves for our children.

There are tons of resources available to help parents on this journey of healing and personal growth. Here are a few that may be particularly helpful:

1. Support: Working with a therapist or a Parenting Coach who specializes in trauma can be incredibly beneficial in helping parents process their own past experiences and address any unresolved issues. This type of support can provide a safe space for parents to explore their emotions, gain insight into their behavior patterns, and develop coping strategies for managing big/difficult feelings.

2. Books: There are many books available that explore the topic of generational trauma and provide guidance on how to heal from it. Some recommended reads are listed under the "Helpful Resources" tab on our website, and will be linked below.

3. Workshops and Support Groups: Attending workshops or joining a support group for parents dealing with generational trauma can be a powerful way to connect with others who are on a similar healing journey. These groups can provide validation, support, and practical tools for healing. We offer a 12 Week Mindful Parenting Journey, quarterly. Feel free to read more in the "Parenting Support" Tab.

4. Mindfulness and Meditation: Practices like mindfulness and meditation can be super helpful for parents looking to heal generational trauma. These practices can help parents cultivate self-awareness, regulate their emotions, and develop a sense of inner peace and calm.

5. Online Resources: There are a wealth of online resources available for parents looking to heal generational trauma, including podcasts, webinars, and online courses. Websites like Redefining Parenthood, Roots & Wings Childhood are both great resources throughout this time.

Healing generational trauma is a journey that requires courage, self-awareness, and a willingness to look deep within our underlying emotions. When we invest in our own healing, we create a more loving and supportive environment for our children, breaking the cycle of dysfunction and creating a more stable future for generations to come.
